MM2H Extension, Renewal & Termination Of MM2H Visa

EXTENSION OF 10-YEAR MM2H VISA - Change of Passport

This applies to those who did not receive the full duration of the 10-year Visa because of the short validity period of their passport at the time of approval and would like to receive the remaining period upon the issuance of a new passport.

The applicant must be present at the Immigration Department of Malaysia and is required to bring the following documents :
  • Letter of Intent.
  • Original & copy of MM2H Conditional Approval Letter.
  • Original of Old & New Passports.
  • Copy of Old & New Passports.
  • Copy of the current MM2H endorsement.
  • IM.12 Form. 
  • Original & Copy of FD Certificate.
  • Visa fee (as per MM2H Conditional Approval Letter) payable to the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

RENEWAL AFTER 10-YEAR MM2H VISA

Submission of the following documents at the Immigration Unit, PWTC :

  • Letter of Intent to continue stay in Malaysia under this programme.
  • Original & copy of MM2H Conditional Approval Letter.
  • Original & copy of Passport(s).
  • Copy of MM2H Visa Endorsement.
  • IM.55 Form.
  • Original & copy of FD Certificate (If applicable).
  • Original Bank Lien Letter (If applicable).
  • Current Proof of Monthly Offshore Income (If applicable).
  • Original & copy of Medical Insurance Policy applicable in Malaysia.
  • Original RBii Medical Report (This must be completed in Malaysia).
  • Personal Bond (placed by MM2H Agent).

The applicants must be present in person at the Immigration Department of Malaysia after the approval of the above submission:
  • Visa fee (as per MM2H Conditional Approval Letter) payable to the Immigration Department of Malaysia.


RENEWAL AFTER 5-YEAR MM2H VISA

For participants who joined the programme before 1 April 2006 , renewal can either be submitted directly by the individual participant or through licensed company to Immigration Department , Putrajaya or The State Immigration Office which issued the initial Social Visit Pass.
  • Letter of Intent to continue stay in Malaysia under this programme.
  • Original & copy of MM2H Conditional Approval Letter.
  • Original & copy of Passport(s).
  • Copy of MM2H Visa Endorsement.
  • IM.55 Form.
  • Original & copy of FD Certificate (If applicable).
  • Original Bank Letter (If applicable).
  • Current Proof of Monthly Offshore Income (If applicable).
  • Original & copy of Medical Insurance Policy applicable in Malaysia.
  • Original RBii Medical Report (This must be completed in Malaysia).
  • Personal Bond (placed by MM2H Agent).
The applicants must be present in person at the Immigration Department of Malaysia after the approval of the above submission:
  • Visa fee (as per MM2H Conditional Approval Letter) payable to the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

TERMINATION AS PARTICIPANT OF MM2H PROGRAMME

The applicant should forward the following documents to the Malaysia My Second Home Centre :
  • Letter of Intent to terminate stay in Malaysia under this programme.
  • Original & copy of Passport.
  • Copy of FD Certificate.
  • Authorization Letter from Ministry of Tourism to withdraw FD.
  • Original & copy of Flight Ticket.
The letter of release will be given to the applicant in 3-5 working days from date of submission of the above to the MM2H Centre.

The applicant must be present in person at the Immigration Department to cancel the MM2H visa. After canceling the MM2H visa, applicant may proceed to relevant bank to withdraw the relevant fixed deposit (if applicable).

  1. I have MM3H visa for 5 year.Now my passport date is over and i take new passport.So that i go to the commission for transfering my MM2H visa from old passport to new passport they informed me that my visa is cacelled. I couldn't understand the fact

    what is FD certificate?
    what document have to bring for monthly income?

  3. Hi. My 10 year mm2h visa expired last month but since we don't live in Malaysia anymore, can we just let it lapse and withdraw the fixed deposit, our do we need to apply to withdraw the FD? Thanks.
